Ichneumonidae the Netherlands

Ichneumonidae the Netherlands

Postby Thijsdegraaf on 28 Aug 2011, 17:42

Hello,
Photographed in the Netherlands, 28-8-2011. Bergen (N.H.)
There flew some of these wasps in the garden. They often stay in the shade. About 1 cm. I think maybe I have photograped in 2010 the same species.

I have taken more photos today. It was searching for food on a euphorbia resinifera. (and found it)
I have a better photo of the wings now.

Best regards,
Thijs

Dear Camille,
yes, I think you are right. It looks like Cosmoconus.

Thanks Camille (and Kees),
I was afraid it was not possible to find a name. It is indeed very similar to the wasp on http://www.nederlandsesoorten.nl/nsr/concept/0AHCYFATUGFS/taxonomy
I am very glad!

Best regards, Thijs
